I must be one of the few who isn't excited or mad about it. I played the first 3 weeks without using the IRNV (partially because I thought it was like the beta IRNV, crappy). I picked up a weapon from a dead guy that had it equipped, and had a moment of realization. "This is how those guys see me when I could not see them." I have used it since. It amazes me how many people refuse to use something that is an advantage. Why not just use a knife all game? That will prove you are really hard core. Guns are for sissies.
The way it is now, I will use it. Change it to where it's no longer effective, and I will change to another scope. No big deal.
Although there is one thing that was nice about the IRNV. It eliminated the people that lay down in bushes all game just waiting for people to run by in order to get a kill. I don't care about them when they are on the other team. They are ineffective for the most part. They may get a few kills, but they are not capping points or taking objectives. In Conquest the ticket bleed caused by their play takes care of any kills they may get, and in Rush that tactic is not really effective against a good Rush attacker since they may get a kill but a good Rush team will attack in groups so the rest of the group will take care of him (waiting for kills as an attacker is useless since defenders just respawn and don't have to worry about tickets). So the use of IRNV has stopped my teammates from hiding in some corner or bush all game. Now those tactics I saw in beta will return big time since no one will be able to see those people anymore.
