Hey Guys,

What do you think of this proposed Ivy Bridge build:

CPU: Intel Ivy Bridge CPU
Mobo: ASUS Maximus GENE-Z (Hopefully they'll this board which supports the Z77 chipset)
HDD: WD Caviar Black
SSD: Intel 520 series
PSU: Corsair HX 650
GPU: AMD 7000 series, or the NVIDIA 600 series
Case: Fractal Arc Mini, or something similar
RAM: 4x4GB at 1600MHz
OS: Windows 7 64bit Home Premium

Any input is much appreciated! smile.gif

Umm...it's hard to make suggestions seeing as Ivy Bridge/7000 series/600 series aren't out yet...I would change the PSU to a 80+ gold certified unit though. (AX650 because it has black cables. tongue.gif)

I just like to plan ahead, that`s all. Then again, I could just purchase whatever components there are as of now,
then I`ll just upgrade when the time comes. In regards to the PSU, the AX series are about 20 dollars more than
the HX series, which is rather expensive, considering the wattage of the PSU. I was looking at this website earlier,
to determine if its worth waiting for a Z77 motherboard, but I can`t see any significant differences between the Z77
chipset and the Z68. Looks like I`ll purchase everything now except for the GPU, CPU. Thank you for your input
Tnt6200.
