Gorilla Glass is horse crap - Page 4

I find gorilla glass to be real good, I miss treat it so mich andonly 1 scratch on the screen and that's cause it was in mu pocket with screws. It also dropped from 25+ feet multiple times and I've thrown it a few times to make a point with Iphone users.

And why I have a cheap (relatively) plastic phone. I dropped mine out of an extended skyjack (shirt pocket FTL), it landed on the steel base. All that happened was the back cover popped off, and I had to ask a nearby sparky to pick it up before I lowered the lift. Not a scratch on it. Had it been glass, I'm 100% certain it would've shattered.

I just wanted to say I understood everything you wrote.

it's all about plastic screens
I have gorilla glass on my Galaxy S. I've dropped at various heights and there hasn't been a scratch or anything. The rest of my phone is beat up but the screen remains perfectly clear.

Minor scratches or large cracks/shattering. Which to choose...

Well, since I've dropped my HTC Thunderbolt a few times and the screen hasn't cracked at all I think I'll take the clearly superior material that doesn't get little scratches all over it.

Glass may look better than plastic, but plastic is tougher.
