Why does the heat spreader cost more on the ram? does it really matter?

the first one is a

10600CL9D

and second on(vengeance) is

1600C9

the latter is better for overclocking.a heat spreader is required only when u try to overclock or/and overvolt it.

if u dont plan to oc your ram, heat spreader is not necessary.

both have the same latency.

for normal use difference wont be noticeable,so u a better off buying the one without the heat spreader,the 10600CL9D.

If you can spare the money for the Corsair, do it. It is faster than the GSkill
