6950 CF Problems

Thread Starter
I have tested this with multiple games, and it's all the same story. I have updated drivers, too by the way.

So i have been having some annoyances with my 6950s for a long time, and it's only now my tech-savvy friend recommends checking the usage of the cards using MSI afterburner.
Right, so i load it up, turn on CF which disables my second monitor, and load up BC2 (since i do not yet have BF3)

Well, what do ya know, fullscreen mode, maxed out, and there are many visual bugs like random white flashing across surfaces. I check MSI afterburner and GPU1 usage is at around 50% and GPU2 is at around 80%, my CPU usage is around 50%. After a few times alt tabbing the visual bugs disappear, but don't get me wrong, BC2 still runs "smoothly"

However, today I'm having a bigger problem, I wanted to max out Saints Row 3 (completely with anistrophic filtering, dx11 and that ****), so i did with CF disabled, and it ran pretty bad, so i updated the drivers rebooted, and relaunched SR3. Now, even with CF enabled and the 11.11 drivers which were supposed to fix SR3 stuttering, the game is WORSE then it was with CF disabled, on LOWER settings with my second (1920x1080) monitor DISABLED. Confused and frustrated, i open up msi afterburner and learn that once again, GPU1: ~50% usage while GPU2: ~100% and CPU was not maxed either.

Righteo,
I load up SR3 with CF disabled and the settings exactly the same as the last test mention with my 2nd monitor disabled and it runs rather fine. GPU1 is at 99% usage and (obviously) GPU2 at 0%

What. is. happening. Please help, i spent a lot of my hard earned underpaid money on these 6950s. Has anyone else seen something like this?

have you also loaded the Crossfire Application Profiles (currently 11.11 Cap 2)

I would change your Crossfire bridges as well in case one is faulty.
