wireless network adaptor

Thread Starter
Hi, I just recently built a new rig but didn't realise that mobos dont really come with built in wi-fi. I got the asus P8z68-v Pro/Gen 3.

So now I need to buy a wireless adaptor. Any suggestions? I don't really know anything about them so any help would be appreciated

Depends what you want. If you have space internally, you can install a pci one. But its more common to get an external usb one because it doesn't take up any room internally.

is there a difference between the two besides the port used? Does that affect their speed? I have space internally so i guess a PCI/PCIe one would be alright

I've been wondering about this as well. I'll leaning towards an external USB adapter to help keep the case tidy and improve airflow. Are there any highly recommended wifi adapters that don't have terribly crappy drivers/software that are included?
