Thread Starter
Hi there, I'm probably the least computer savvy guy on these forums but I need to upgrade my PC none the less! I'm currently using a Sony Vaio laptop for gaming and as my everyday computer... Its not doing as well as I'd like, when I hear my friends talk about the frame rate's and graphic setting I just want to cry frown.gif So I want to look into making my own computer for gaming/websurfing/music etc... But I have no clue where to even start I dont have alot of money and sites like newegg seem really expensive I'm told i can acheive my goal computer with about 500-700$... so any advice on how to go about doing this would be lovely! Thanks!

TL:DR - How do i built a computer for gaming for 500-700$?

Haha, welcome! I just joined up today too, so it's nice to meet you! biggrin.gif

Concerning your desire to make a custom system, if you want, please feel free to check out the system I built - you can see it in my thread: http://www.overclock.net/t/1178841/hey-everyone

I ended up making mine for $646, though I had some Black Friday deals to help me out. As it is, I also spent an extra $15 on my Power Supply Unit (PSU), so that could be foregone to make things cheaper.

As it is, my system should be able to run Battlefield 3 on High settings perfectly (I haven't exactly tested it out yet, but according to specs I should be good), so it's very good for the low cost.

But yeah, I'd be more than willing to help you out in any way that I could - though I'm still new to building computer systems. biggrin.gif
