XSPC Rasa 750 RX360 and Corsair 800d questions

Thread Starter
Are the pumps that come with this kit still prone to be defective and is the pump noisy? Also is the pump reliable? That's my only reservation about getting this kit. I do plan to change the fans to Gentle typhoon fans, but that's a minor change. Another question I have since I'm new to water cooling does the water block really make that much of a difference? I read some where on this forms that some one changed the standard cpu block that came with the kit with a better one and got a few degrees cooler, I think it was 5 Celsius cooler.

I plan to use the my water cooling system to cool both the cpu and gpu. Will the the pump that comes with the kit be powerful enough and will the RX360 rad be enough to cool both the cpu and gpu?

The question above have been my concern up to now and the main reason why I haven't bought the kit. I been debating whether to get the kit or buy all the parts separate. I did my calculations and the a non kit solutions is a lot more expensive, at least over 300. Obviously, the custom solution gives me better options in terms of having to select each piece in the system separately,

There is certain point where changing parts to the kit vs just buying a non kit system is better. Assuming the kit pump is fine I would only need to change the tubing and the fans to gentle typhoon. However, if I have to change the pump I might as well just buy the each part separate.

As for the corsair 800d case. How quiet are the fans? I'm not sure if I should switch the fans with Gentle typhoons.

Noise is some thing I'm aiming to keep at a minimum with my new system. My goal is to get lower temperatures when I do moderate oc and to nearly eliminate the noise generated by the computer. I have a air system at moment and when under load or after prolong use the noise generated by the computer drive me crazy, which is why I normally use a headphone set, that blocks the noise.

This kit will go in a new computer I'm building. I already bought a good deal parts just waiting for a few selected parts to become available again. The gtx 580 classified hydro I'm waiting same with the new corsair 1000W platinum psu. Any one have a good idea when either will become available?

Hey bekster,

the pump is very silent when filled with water because the water around it will dampen the noise,
the pump is quite good actually , not the greatest pump but still very good, but i would change it sometime in the future when u wanna add more parts if u want to sli or summin.
a rx360 is enough to cool the gpu and cpu.
the rasa is a very good block for the price alot of bang for buck in that block.
the fans in the 800d are not that loud, i still have mine in there, havn't been bothered to change them and the rest of my fans are gentle typhoons and my system is not that loud and i always leave it on max.
if you have the money go for a custom kit but if not then go for the prebuilt, the kit is very good value for money newais,
i used to run that kit but just a lower version of it cooling my GPU and CPU and my temps were fine.

good luck with ur build!
