Great work man!! thumb.gif

I'm going to be upgrading my gpu and amd considering a GTX580. Would you suggest buying a GTX580 and H100 from scratch, or is there a better option considering I don't have either right now? My processor is an i7 920 but my gpu is really old (bought in 2004 I think). Using an H100 is appealing to me for maximum noise reduction.

Holy... I didnt know there was a H70 type of thing for our GPUs ...

Will it work with 2 gtx580's in SLI, when the PCIE slots are right next to each other ?

Just a question, how is your vram doing??
what are you doing to cool it?
And yes it works like a charm...applied a 6-7 year old Arctic Ceramique, left Corsairs TIM as well (very thin by the way), did the whole thing in 10 minutes (whenever i have some time i'll do everything slower and better)...

I never managed to run Furmark for more than 3-5 minutes at 950Mhz and 1.15V because the temp was going up way to fast (fans at 100%) so i was always stopping it around 85C (otherwise it could exceed 90C).

So, here it is...

But decision to leave the two Corsair fans, way too loud...i have another two Noctuas laying around so i'll replace the Corsair ones...

(VERY large pics, click the thumbnails)

Here goes:
Furmark.jpg

@950Mhz, 1.15V, 10 minutes (temp had already stabilized from the first 5 minutes), Corsair fans pull at 50%, Noctua fans push 100% (max temp 48C):

@950Mhz, 1.15V, 10 minutes (temp had already stabilized from the first 5 minutes), Corsair fans pull at 100%, Noctua fans push 100% (max temp 45C):

950100100.th.jpg

@950Mhz, 1.15V, a few minutes after the test, idling (same result for Corsair fans pull at 100%, Noctua fans push 100% and Corsair fans pull at 50%, Noctua fans push 100%)

BTW, the VRMs, memory etc are being cooled directly from the pull fans. None of these components have direct contact with the original heat spreader and they were being cooled by the already hot air that the vga was producing. So in my case, forget about the extra NP14 on the flexifan...it's not needed...

Once again BIG THANKS to the OP thumb.gif

To the original poster....

How did you get MSI Afterburner to give you access to voltages above 1150?

I have the same card and that is my max....
