My NUMBER ONE COMPLAINT!

You can No Longer Search Inside a thread based on the Name of the poster!!!!!

Click " Search this Thread" Enter name

No Search results, and no advanced options when it returns no info.

Before, you have have the option to search Thread Postings, or By User name In the Thread you want

Now you can only search the whole site, or specific wrods written in a post Inside a thread

This Frikkin sux

thats about it though, i cant complaion really aobut anything else with the site

As some have posted, the Advertisement Banners are bugged

But no one is complaining that there IS Ads, thats stupid, we know ads are necesary were not dumb

we complaining that the ADDS ARE BROKEN!!! lol

ANd *** is Up with Adding Tags to your thread?!

tell me how you dont have the Tag word "Science" anywhere in there???

You can search by the name of the poster in a thread and only return the posts of that user.

Let's see how.

First go to thread listings, a forum section for example. Then, click the reply count. Then, a window will pop up that lists the people who've posted there. Then, click on the post count of someone on that list. You will see their posts in that thread.

This also worked on the previous platform if i remember correctly.

it just feels way too cluttered. idk if there is a way to change the layout, but I don't care for the reviews, tags, or those currently viewing on the right. also every pic posted is squished. at least on my end. also, because everything is so squished, I can only view 2 posts at a time before having to scroll down. that's just horribly inefficient.

1. Search results suck, if you do by relevance you will find stuff dated back to 2009 and if you do recency you get results of stuff that isn't anyway close to what you are looking for.

2. Not seeing option to search a thread for a user's posts. (in the "search this thread" dialog)

3. Tapatalk - yes i know that is up to the Tapatalk dev to update but still, you would think huddler would have reached out to them to assist with the coding, and seeing as how OCN is not the first forum to update to Huddler and Huddler forums still don't work in Tapatalk I don't think it will be resolved. What is weird is that some Quotes format properly in Tapatalk and some do not.

4. The Auto Subscription thing is kind of an annoyance but I have learned to look past it smile.gif

Thats Fine but if i had not been told would I know? and as there is a search box on the page and it would be the first stop for most people why does it not work for names?

It does seem that sometimes (especially with certain features) you almost need an instruction manual just to use the site........( can't say I know another site that is just not intuitive, ie you have to jump through these hoops in this order to do this.) Most people would just search the name.

I think this is one reason people feel like they are almost fighting the site sometimes or that it just feels like you have to do more, to do less, than the old OCN.

I hope you can see what I am saying.

I can see what you are saying, and I do think the "search thread" feature would be better off if it included the functionality for searching with username, though I don't personally find it an issue. I just provided a solution for the issue there.

I do think, however, that it's mostly you having been used to vB and its quirks there. Even on vb OCN, so many newcomers were confused as to how do certain things. This was because, even on the vb platform, there were many features that were implemented with similar "jumps through hoops" and were far from intuitive. This is my opinion however, so consider it one.

Also wanted to note that "Quoting" Sucks. When I click the single Quote it does an automatic multi-Quote of The person who posted and what they Quoted. Thats a bit to cluttered IMO

Edit: Example:

Edit: Example:

At the top and the bottom of a thread page, you have the preferences button, which opens up a menu. There, choose "remove nested quotes in replies". The result in quoting is what happens here when I quote your post, only -your- post gets quoted.
