My 4100FX was at around 90% and Game Play was Jerky .

Was better on only 1 Card .

New Driver did help But best change was Taking Phisx of Auto and dedicating it to second card with SLI on .
this made it run Really smooth .
Not sure if that limits performance but it seam too work ..smile.gif

Thanks guys, after further research and observation I will upgrade to X6 1090 at the moment as BD is not that far from X6 in terms of gaming and specially other games. I will give BF3 with my 955 a try after this big patch and tomorrow I shall decide rolleyes.gif

thanks again guys for your inputs. really appreciate it.

8120 (4.5ghz) 8GB 2ghz ram.
6850 CF (1008/1140)

BF3
Reso:1080
Game Settings: Ultra 2X every other map, 4X AA Metro (mostly play metro), 0X AA in 3D Mode.
Metro Maps FPS: min-ave-max 120 180 200 (0X AA sits on frame limiter most the time dropping to 160s under heavy frag round bombardment.)
Old Maps FPS: min-ave-max 90 160 200
Karkand Maps FPS: min-ave-max 68 110 200
3D Mode FPS: min-ave-max 40 60 90 (map doesn't seem to matter FPS stays around the same)
Driver: 12.4 alpha

GPU Normal between 94-98%
GPU 3D between 78-89%

Raising the frame rate limiter I hit maxs of 500s on some bits of metro which causes textures to disapare for a bit allowing you to see though walls like the ones down by the lockers at B.
So I only raise the frame rate limiter on non-PB servers since I dont know what the screen shots would look like to them.

Dirt 3
Reso:1080
Game Settings:Max 3D Mode.
3D Mode FPS: min-ave-max 31 55 80
Driver: 12.4 alpha
GPU 3D between 65-75% (has to be a CPU bottleneck.)

Same position as you atm proccesser holding back card, getting a 7970 and it will majorly hold that back tongue.gif . Got an i5 and asus maximus board coming in, I know it sucks man having to buy a whole new motherboard it feels so expensive. The whole reason I bought an am3+ was with the hope I could upgrade to bulldozer in the future, but just cut your losses man like me and move over to intel. Amd has no place in pc gaming world or wait I should say enthuisiast pc gamer world atm. Amd is still good for very low budget.

So as per the topic I just want to know if other fellow AMD user'r how their set up works in BF3.
I'm kinda having second thought of upgrading to either X6 or FX( but need new mobo if FX)
I know Intel will give me gaming CPU but I'm a AMD user, I get the satisfaction if in on AMD biggrin.gif
Hope to see in below format
Reso:
Game Settings
FPS min-ave-max
Driver:
1080p
High (custom-no AA-motion blur off)
48-55-90
11.11 with CAP 2

I have the same setup. 6870 CFX with an X6. I play at 1080p, high with 2xMSAA and FXAA. I target for a locked 60fps.

I am bottlenecked on 64 man servers. My 6 cores at 3.5GHz are above 90% and the framerate goes below 60. GPU usage is not maxed out. I am fine of 32 man servers.

I am not sure there is an AMD product to play BF3 without issue. I think some 2500k are also having 64 man server lag.

In my opinion, stick with AMD for the GPU, buy a 2500k or wait for Ivy bridge. Best bang for the buck. smile.gif
