Thanks for that. Changed to AHCI & also applied the registry fix because I was getting BSOD on startup. Speeds are still almost exactly the same

So, how is it?
..............146,52 write??...............

That actually seems pretty low for a SF-2281 240GB particularly one with sync NAND (that's a Kingston HyperX, right?). Expected AS-SSD seq write for that should be around 280MB/s. Those results look more like 120GB with async to me.

Exactly, its a Kingston HyperX 240GB connected on Sata 3. So what do you think?.

Hi guys,

I'm new to SSD and would like to check with you guys whether it's recommended to use Deepfreeze with SSD?

Currently I'm using it on my HDD to provide a consistency desktop experience and I'm thinking to use it with SSD as well.

Kindly advise. Thanks.

Cheers.

Based on a google search I'd say to not use deepfreeze on SSDs at this time.

http://www.deepfreeze.com.au/download/SSD.pdf
http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1635950/deepfreeze-ssd.html

Possibly contact them directly and find out if they support SSDs now.

Hey Sean! I bought an SSD last night, do the numbers look good to you? They're on SATA II interface:

Thanks.

Thought I would share that the Toshiba Q series 256GB on sale today for $149 is only $135 if you use the mobile app to purchase with promo code MBLMOBILE10. I didn't do a ton of research but its a proprietary controller with 19nm toggle nand. Heck of a deal IMO.

Hi.
I am concerned about the life of my ssd (sandisk extreme 240). I performed partitions ignoring the issue of the level of wear and partitions. I have it for one year ago with a 30gb partition and one with 200GB. I wanted to use large drive for data but I did not have time for that and just use the first 30gb partition . My question is if the ssd may be damaged by using only a little segment. DiskInfo shows 10tb reading 18 tb and writing.
sorry my poor English.
Thanks for any help.
