still the Crucial M4 over Corsair Performance Pro in performance? i would of put Corsair Performance Pro slightly ahead even if the read speed is barely slower. tongue.gif

Reads are more important overall. tongue.gif

Writes are nice to have though.

What, no Intel headscratch.gif
They're only some of the most reliable drive out there!
I mean! What about the "40GB Intel" that they've put 1PB through thinking.gif
And, all my Intels have had between 4-5TB through them devil-smiley-019.gif

I'll contribute to this with 120gb Vertex 3 results here in a few weeks. I'm getting on for Christmas and I can do some benchmarks before I put it into operation.

You forgot the Mushkin and their Chronos line of SSDs. For the lower end 120Gb model, it cost me $184.99 with free shipping. For the Deluxe version, it costs $209.99. On paper, everything is better than an M4 for a similar price, and hardware canuck's benchmarks show the chronos beats the M4 in almost every test. Currently, they are sold out but Mushkin is a brand to consider and I highly recommend them.
