Ok, so later on today, (It's past midnight here), UPS will deliver my new drives. Got the 2T WD Green and this Plextor M3 Series PX-128M3 128GB SATA III No, It's not the pro, but it's my first SSD for OS. Choice was made after reading over this thread the past few weeks. (Thanks Sean) Now about the install guide, hmmm....

Edit: I also just got Win 7 Ultimate Retail. Plan to install this on the SSD.

I am looking at getting a SSD but I only have SATA II ports on my motherboard, I saw the Highpoint PCI card that was linked but I do not think it is worth getting a add-on card that cost almost as much as a SSD. Are any of the sub $40 range cards any good? I do not need 4 internal ports just one or two is fine.

Just use the SATA 2 port on your mobo. There will be no difference in daily usage.

i pulled the trigger on the Corsair Performance Pro 256gb for $295 (after rebate): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233227

i figure without the rebate...the price won't "official" hit $295 again for a while....so I should be safe....plus new GTX 670 comes out soon...and IB is out as well....and I need some time to sell my leftovers on ebay before GW2 comes out....buying now should work fine for me. I'm excited!
