Best SSD hands down in terms of overall performance. All those M4 fanbois are just lieing to themselves (though price is better). I will be joining this club in about a month. smile.gif

Add me! Had the Crucial M4 256GB, 240GB Mushkin Chronos Deluxe. Sold those for a tiny profit and purchased my 256GB Corsair Performance Pro 256GB for $300 after taxes. I love the looks and it's slightly faster and more responsive overall than the the Crucial M4/Mushkin Deluxe it replaced. 700

I'll soon be a proud member of this club! I ordered a Corsair PP 128GB and it's on it's way!
I'll update my post with pictures!

I think this somewhat new SSD is underrated right now, probably because it has low-visibility on the market. It makes it a little expensive (low volume sales) compared to other offerings...It was at 229$ Cdn, I pricematched it down to $199 Cdn, and there is a "touching wood" Mail-in Rebate of $20....so a potential overall price of $179.99....

I like the 32nm toggle NAND, the fact that the controller doesn't play tricks (sandforce compression) to reach it's peak and the overall performance.

I'll be retiring my oldie VERTEX "original" 120GB FW 1.5 (Indilinx Barefoot) to secondary duties as a game drive. I've been really lucky with that Indilinx, it never skipped a beat...now running at 65% health... (from summer 2009 to now)...

ONE QUESTION THO....do we know if this CORSAIR Performance Pro is immune to the MARVELL controller's 5000+ hours BSOD bug that plagued the Crucial M4s (before firmware 0309)??? The 0309 firmware for M4s came out in Jan 2012, but the Corsair drives are out since November 2011.......so it's possible that we get hit at some point?

As I reckon that the Corsair PP drives are running Firmware 1.0, and that there is no firmware updates for the drives yet...so are we all sitting on a 5000 hour-countdown tickling time bomb????

I think it was just Crucial's firmware that had the issue. But it is possible. I'm sure if it does happen they will fix it promptly.

Alright,

My SSD arrived yesterday! Let me in please!

338

501

Is it possible to get a better score? I mean closer to the manufacturer's advertized speeds?

And what's the 103424K number thingy? I seen some screenies of SSD have 1024K as the number....

I unpacked this thing, quick formatted it, installed a fresh Win7 HP 64 bits, then all the latest drivers for my P8P67 Deluxe (latest BIOS also)....
SSD connected to the Intel SATA3 controller, of course.
