How can we catch [H]ardOCP and EVGA?

Thread Starter
Over the past six months, both HardOCP and EVGA have been pulling away from us more and more. How are we going to stop that? What can we do to get our numbers up or at the least not let the gap continue to widen as it is?

OCN - 318 [H]orde - 316 EVGA - 318

I had to take a break from folding until recently, so when I checked the stats again, I was surprised to see just how much their PPD had increased. But OCN can do the same, any ideas of how though? thumb.gif

Your avatar fits your post very well.

Just go over there and send mass pm's to all their folders. biggrin.gif

I was thinking, [H]ard has less active folders than we do, however, better top end hardware. Maybe we need more discussion top end hardware here. That way if someone is looking for some, they can come to us and then start folding for us. It would also torment those with the hardware addiction and get them to buy some. devil.gif

And that won't happen unless we promote them.

2p and 4p stand for two and four processor computers. (for example: Sr-2, typical server x58, but most importantly amd g34 builds)

We could have Z send out a mass message to all inactive folders in our top 500.

2p being 2 processors on a board. 4p- 4 CPUs. So on, and on...

Points rack in much faster when the hardware is stupid far ahead of everyone. A 4p 8-core SB-E would be 64 threads. At stock, your looking at well over 1m PPD from that alone. Think of having 2 of those, add 60m to OCN points a month.

EVGA gives their folders incentive by bribing them with discounts off more EVGA cards.

Quick questions. Would I get good results with my hardware? What are the better cards and CPUs to fold on?
