There is a thread where you post your folding name and info and they put your folding info under your rep

EDIT: Post here http://www.overclock.net/t/1164344/apply-for-your-ocn-folding-postbit-here/0_100

Not sure if this is helpful, but I was looking at these cheap servers on ebay:

Dual kentsfield processor servers for around $160 seems like a good deal to me. It may be a way for people to become 24/7 folders more economically. thumb.gif

The 5345 seems like a decent deal, however I am not sure its worth the investment and then power costs anymore. When I first started folding it was on a E5410. Which is basically the same thing as a E5345 just with a little more cache, but the bus speed and clock speeds are the same.

I was getting about 6k PPD on it with SMP in Ubuntu. While it certainly would help, I believe you can spend about the same amount of money on a GPU and return better points.

Edit: http://ark.intel.com/compare/27214,28030,28031,33080,28032

I have used the 5110 for folding and in a rig with 2x 5110 they were getting 3500 PPD. I could have picked up like 30 of these from work for free, but after seeing the performance I didn't think it was worth the power costs.I listed the 5110 because people are practically giving the machines away on Ebay. But its probably not worth the costs.

I have a 2x 5310 machine that I used to fold on it was like 6-8k PPD. But again it was not worth the power draw. I might fire that up this weekend to double check the numbers, just so we have something to compare to the 5320 as there are little differences.

On the EVGA web site in their driver download section, F@H is nowhere to be found. You have to use the EVGA F@H web portal to get to any software support, and, it's readily available in several places ... just like here at OCN.

I think it would be great if OCN could partner up with Asus, MSI or Steam or even all 3. To win 10% discount coupons in say normal monthly prize draws for people that get a set amount of points a month, then have bigger prizes like motherboards, Graphics cards, games etc, in big events as well as some OCN merchandise biggrin.gif.
My i5 PC that I do most of my folding on is making 28-32K PPD depending on WU, but I've got a P4 HT 2.8 GHz chip and an OEM dell board in a box as well as some other little bits but Im not sure if its worth the effort getting it up and running. I need to make/buy a bracket to attach the heat sink to the motherboard as it was screwed to the inside of the case before, I also need a temp censer for the CPU as Im not going to fold on it if I don't now how hot it is, and after doing all of that would it even make that many points?

I don't think my points are adding up right. When I look up my stats, it shows I have 51,587. I have over 40,000 at home and 47,000 at work. How does that add to 51,000??

Did you fold for 24 hours? You also weren't getting bonus SMP points the whole time which is about 50% of your folding. Some units also may not have completed yet. Wait a week and look at the 24 hour average (which is over 5 days), you'll probably be correct by then.
