difference between 6790 and 6770 - Page 2

FRAPS sucks performance. Use MSI Afterburner OSD to judge results for yourself, or in built benchtests in games.

Seems about right honestly. A 6850 @ 1600x900 should max any game WITHOUT AA. Also, it should max most games with AA, but it's not guaranteed.

Your CPU @ 3.3ghz will bottleneck in certain situations. Skyrim's Ultra shadows will cripple it. Starcraft 2 will be hindered by the AMD platform. You'll still get playable results in all games, near perfect in most, but in some situations you'll be BN'ed.

An unlocked CPU *IS* an actual phenom if it unlocked properly. No difference at all. Make sure you overclock your CPU Northbridge. This will help.

fraps sucks performance even without recording? I was just looking at the fps number on the corner of the screen.

I got 35-50 fps average on Crysis 2, Ultra setting 1600x900, DX11 disabled.
thats about the same fps i got with my 5670 except that was on lowest setting.

Im satisfied with the performance, do you think my cpu will bottleneck Xfire 6850?
If I decide to replace my board with an xfire one.
