Has anyone else noticed the Northbridge on these motherboards gets alot hotter, or is it just lack of airflow in my case?headscratch.gif

It must just be horrible airflow in my case then, cause I am seeing temps as high as 55C with a probe in the heatsink.

how's about I just get a better casewink.gif Got a side project going where I am going to upgrade my old computer (that I gave my brother) with a new motherboard and a new case, and that will leave all the original parts replaced on it, which means I could put it back to factory everything. BTW, it's a Custom order 2008 HP Pavillion A6600z, HP/Asus Geforce 6150SE/nforce 430 Motherboard. I could put it all back together and still get $100 for it.

My thoughts are, give my brother this case, and I'll just buy a NZXT Phantom thumb.gif Buy a Asus M3N78-VM, then he can upgrade as far as a Phenom II quad-core, and 16GB RAM, and I get a new case outta the deal pretty much for free biggrin.gif

I'm sorry for a novice question:

Can my ASUS M4A87TD EVO board (no CPU right now)
take a AMD FX-6100 CPU 3.3 ghz AM3+ ?
If it does, I'll make an offer for the guy selling it used.
Thanks alot everyone.

Okay thank you for your reply.

However, I was holding some hope since I saw someone said (maybe wrongly) that he used this board with this CPU.
