Mousemat for speed.

Thread Starter
Hello,
I have an Mx518 mouse that, while I'm overall very happy with, feel is too slow. Are there any mousepads out there that has a "gliding"-like surface that would help me move the mouse faster?
I currently have a steelseries Qck mini.

Any plastic/metal pad will be alot smoother, alot less friction, but there isnt any surface that increase speed, but u can move faster with a hard surface pad.

Hey I can recommend you the razer Sphex. It's cheap and it's as slippery as ice biggrin.gif

I'm a low sens player (CS 1.6) and as a consequence, move the mouse fast and a lot. And, to me, if you move your mouse fast, you need a rough surface that will help with precision (like the goliathus control).
The ss fnatic and other "team" editions are softer surfaces than the one you have (I have a fnatic edition and a regular ss qck, also), but get dirty very fast.
I wouldn't recommend plastic, heard they eat the Teflon feet of mouses really fast.

I vote for the sphex too, is pretty smooth, my mouse slides like it was on ice... If you're not a crazy low sens player (800-400 dpi) don't worry too much about your skates... the higher sens you use, the less you wear the mouse skates, however for 1600 cpi or less strongly suggest a smooth cloth surface like the Puretrack Talent or one of those fancy Artisan surfaces.
