I am running at 4.5 ghz at 1.264v. Is this an considered an average or good chip in terms of overclockability?

sounds good so far. You can tell more if it's a good chip if it will do 5ghz with less than 1.400v over 12hrs of prime.

4.5 is pretty average for the 2500K.

That's what I run mine at too.

If you have good cooling, and a good chip, you can push it a little more.

So to push the oc higher from this point, I just increase the multiplier and voltage? It is 24/7 stable right now

Very typical o/c - most SB K processors will do 4.5ghz @ close to stock voltage, try seeing if your chip will hit 4.8+ ghz, if it hits 5+ its a good one otherwise you're looking at an average chip smile.gif

I'd say very good if stable at that voltage. That chip should go higher. Run 12 hours of prime blend to verify. For reference, my 2700k needs around 1.290v for 4.5 12 hour prime 95 stability. It needs 1.385v for 4.8.
