Wow $139 is a great price, can't get buyers regret with that. That card runs a little faster then the 6870 which I found one for $154 after MIR. But at $139 you would be able to get back most of that if you wanted to sell it down the road. Good deal cheers.

Since you probably won't find such a deal soon, and the fact that 5000 serie only scales around 60%, would worth buying 2 now, or 1 before upgrade to new serie.
Edit :
You can only CF in the same serie (4000, 5000, 6000, who knows about 7000...). Oh and only with other ATI/AMD cards, you can't "CrossSLI" wink.gif

I know that you can only cfx cards of the same series, I am upgrading from a HD4350 to a new gen dx 11 card.

I might just pick up a 6850 untill the new HD7k lines come out/down in price or I will cfx the 6850's later on.

The best advice I think would be to save up and increase your GPU budget to $250 and get a HD6950 or buy the 5870 which is similar in performance. The GPU in my opinion is the most important part in a gaming system and its better to spend a little more on a good GPU . With a good GPU you can get away with lesser CPU'S and Ram save more money at the end and still get a stable 60 fps on most games.

Around 40fps. Sometimes dips to 30.

I'm not one of those folks obsessed over hitting 60 fps just to play a game though. If that's you... guess you can't play on Ultra. tongue.gif

Yes, it is a good deal smile.gif

The HD5870 is still one monster of a card. The only issue is that it is a bit power hungry compared to its descendants, and tessellation performance is kinda lacking compared to a HD6870. but it still has plenty of horsepower wink.gif

And as SgtSpike said, I too was playing BF3 @1080p, Ultra, no AA at 35-40 FPS constant.
