Fake laptop charger?

Is it laptop charger fine for the Acer 5735.
The specs on the website check out to the specs written on my dead charger. (Died due to my own fault)

It's a no name, it could be decent but chances are it's trash, get this.

As long as it delivers the correct voltage it doesn't really matter. I got some cheap laptop battery off ebay because my Lenovo brand one died in under a year. Lenovo wanted $130 for a battery, ebay wanted $35

A lot of the time they're cheap Chinese knock-offs that can't do, or barely do, their rated wattage with poor voltage regulation and ripple >300mV.


There are, however, legitimate 3rd party chargers out there as well. Really, you don't need one labeled specifically for your laptop. I recommend one of Antec's models, they're very well built FSP units and verified to provide clean power at 19V, which is what your laptop takes.
