Rosewill Power supply?

I usually stick with Corsair on power supplies because they are a trusted name brand company that takes care of their customers. I know with power supplies you get what you pay for, and I don't want to break my system. Have any of you used this power supply?

If I can avoid paying an extra 100$ I will. tongue.gif

Since it doesn't have a unified 12v rail, results may vary, but your graphics cards shouldn't stress it too much. You would probably be fine with an 850 watt power supply like the Corsair HX850 or TX850, why are you looking for 1000w? That would hardly be needed if you had SLI 580's

Well, I plan on moving to Crossfire 7950's when I get the chance, I'm just sick of all the non needed cables on my non-modular power supply. I was just thinking of upping the wattage from my current power supply (750) just for future proof.

Your current system needs only a solid 650W power supply, future cards will require even less.. so this is pretty much a pointless investment.

The Rosewill linked above it's a pretty average Sirtec unit.. you can do better at that price, especially since you don't need that much power wink.gif

Look at the XFX XXX units, they're very well price and are excellent performers.

Reasonable but not at the same time.

The next series of CPU's and GPU's are going to use even less power than the current. Atleast so I've read.

I get the, "Since I'm going Modular, might as well get one with more juice" aspect though. Albeit, it's unneeded.

That's a decent unit, Sirfa make. Nothing special, nothing bad. If you need a 1kW unit on a budget it will serve you fine, although if you need a system that can pull 1000W then you probably aren't on a budget. wink.gif
