Razer Mamba constant disconnecting.

Thread Starter
This is about the Razer Mamba(1st gen)

Mine when I plug it in installed, then disconnects before the installation finishes, and then the light turns off, windows disconnect sound is made, the light turns back on, and after a few seconds the disconnect sound it made again and the light turns off, the process repeating endlessly.

If I continually press one key I might get a response, left clicking, right clicking, scrollin, for like half a second, then it disconnects.

I am using all current drivers and firmware. I've tried using all previous drivers and firmware as well.

Any ideas as to how I can fix this? I don't like having a $100 paperweight.

Not shure what it could be but looks like it's a bad connection. I would suggest pluging it in a diffrent USB port. If this does not help try turning it on and off. If it still wont work then tri connecting it directly onto the wire of the charger.

lol I lost this thread, but yeah, I've tried all that, and used a different cable, since I have two Mambas, and two docks. No luck.

If you are still having this problem 8 months later, it's time for an RMA. If you are still covered that is.

Warranty died I think just recently. Plus I think I lost my receipt in a flood. :/ I'll try though.

Did you try a different mouse?

Seems unlikely 2 mamba mice in a row would have the exact same problem.
