GTX 560 Ti 448 core OC Club - Page 101

A video on youtube has a stock gigabyte 560ti 448 doing around 54.9 fps in heaven while the msi does 55. I have the gigabyte and mine is barely doing 45 out of the box. What is the difference. Is something going on or do processor speeds play a role in heaven dx11 benchmark?

You have the Gigabyte, or the Galaxy?

they are both the same i have the galaxy but they have the same stock settings. Which makes me wonder why theres a 10 fps difference

Are the systems the same, meaning cpu and cpu speed?

If you already have the first GTX 460, I would go that route and pick up another. If not, I would grab the 560Ti 448. You also get a little memory boost with the 560Ti 448. So it might be worth selling off a 460, if you have one, and use that money towards the 560Ti 448 core. Then maybe you could pick up another 448 core here in the market place for a good price after Kepler releases.

for sheer power, 460 sli...but i don't think its very far ahead...unless you're talking about two 460 HAWK cards

if you have the cash, go for two EVGA or MSI 448 cards...or buy one now, then get another one next month...because its usually limit 1 rebate per offer...so gotta wait next month to get another rebate...hopefully they will still be around by early march

I have a gtx 560 ti 448 (zotec) and im having a problem with it...

My system is:
Msi z68a - gd65
i5 2500k
8gb corsair 1600mhz ram
ocz vertex 3 ssd
and my Zotec gtx 560ti 448.
corsair tx850m power supply

While the gtx 560ti 448 ran stable on my old core 2 duo computer with a 500 watt 22amp rail power supply, it hard locks my new computer occasionally.

I'm currently running with my gtx 260 which has no problems.

Any ideas what could be causing this card to lock up? (it locks up with all of the beta drivers currently using the 295's)

Did you do a clean install of your OS after switching set ups?

well I ordered a swiftech gtx480-HS heatsink and an Antec kuhler 620 on sale to play with on my classy. Not that is gets real hot (65-67*C full load) but the fan noise gets obnoxious. Should be a fun project, looks like most guys get really good results on the 480 wiith that setup. Gonna try to put the evga shroud over it all for a stealthy appearance. wink.gif
