GTX 560 Ti 448 core OC Club - Page 19

Nice little club you've got going here, I think I may be the first with a zotac card. Default voltage on this was 1.00v, which I'm assuming is middle of the road from what I've read from you guys. At 865 it needed 1.05v to run BF3 (all other benchmarks and stability programs ran fine), 875 required 1.063v and finally I ended up with 900 at 1.088. Max temp was 85C (which was the max temp on stock speeds with stock fan profile) I know it's hot, but hey it's a zotac with a single fan tongue.gif Average was around 80C, with the fan peaking out at a limit of 85% (I understand this is restriction from Nvidia) 3dmark11 score of P6486 with the current oc, which as it matches a stock 570's performance, I'm quite happy with. Coming from a GTX 260 216 core this was a great improvement. Been playing BF3 with everything on ultra, except AA @ 2x instead of 4X (1080) and my fps usually average around 60! Batman Arkham maxed out with min 30fps, average 55 or so. Thanks for starting the club, great to hear what clocks you guys are achieving, If only I had some better cooling on this card I'd be more comfortable pushing up past 900Mhz.

Edit: Something I forgot to ask/mention, is that when I'm trying to adjust the core voltage on this through Afterburner the slider jumps from and to what seems like preset voltage intervals. For example if I want 1080Mv it sets it to 1088 etc. Is this a bios issue or just a conflict with Afterburner? I'll try Precision and see if it's any different there.

Edit 2: Same deal with Precision, I guess they're just written into the bios. Would love to do this to it biggrin.gif

Owners of the Classified 448...what kind of fan profiles are you using?

I find mine unbearably loud at 60% fan speed. Great card but I expected the cooler to be noticeable but still manageable at 60% but it's not.

I would have love to stay at 900/1800/2100 (1.063V) overclock but that fan is too much. And I don't think 1.063 is too hi either...

Your overclock is real close to mine and I keep my fan at 65% when I am not gaming. As for the fan being loud, it's a trade off for performance. I have a Antec D-85 case so fan noise to me is not an issue especially since I have 10 fans on at all times. You can either clock it down to clock speeds and use that when not gaming. Then create a profile with your OC and just turn it on when gaming that way your fan can idle at 40% or lower. When I am gaming I crank it up to 100% and it does get loud but worth keeping it cool and I use head phones so I can't hear it.

thanks somehow I think the Twin Frozer III is alot quieter than the Classified. I wished I had gotten the TFIII instead of this. Their fans are alot better and the OC should be about the same. Your 65% at idle would not be comparable to mine as on mine at those speeds it sounds like a jet taking off.

After I bought the card I was having doubts and was going to return it for the EVGA Classified one. The only reason I didn't was because Newegg was out of stock. I think they all are fantastic cards and have very much potential. I know my fans do get loud at about 80% and up. Either way you have a great card and I'm sure you will get used to the noise. I like the fact that it runs super cool even when I try to run it hot, it still runs cool.
Going for 1Ghz soon!!

Well I haven't done the h70 mod yet, so this will have to do for now biggrin.gif
450

This runs into my rafters/crawl space with a fan ziptied to the end of it which is running on a jump started old PSU. I call it the ghetto chiller biggrin.gif currently it's only -1C outside yet my idle temps are 23C (22 now) on the zotac and 27C on my i5.
