GTX 560 Ti 448 core OC Club - Page 195

I got them installed. It took forever. Not sure if that is a system problem or what.

Max OC dropped 5MHz again. So 296.10 I was at 985mhz, 301.10 I was at 980, and the new 301.24 maxes at 975.
Performance looks to be about the same, and the only difference in 3dmarks is due to the drop in maximum OC ~100 points:
http://3dmark.com/compare/3dm11/3166926/3dm11/3127494
With that respect, the new drivers are not as good as the 296.10.
However, just because they score less in 3dmark, does not mean they're actually worse. I don't game much any more, so I can't speak to improved performance in games, but the new driver may very well just give better performance in real world applications.

Can you do a 3dMark11 run with 1 card to see if there is a problem??

I get about half the frame rates on 3dmark11 with those drivers. Can't figure out what is wrong.

Just picked up a Classified Ultra. Can't wait to see what she can do.

Will I be bottle necked bad by my system? Plan to go Ivy in the coming months, but just couldn't fight back the itch to upgrade from my old 250.

Eh. How much of an overclock you got on that Q6600?
It will probably be bottlenecking. What do you play? If you say BF3 hands down yes, CPU intensive games will be bottlenecked by an 2.4GHZ quad core on old architecture.

Running it @3GHz.

I mainly play SWTOR and LoL. Will be playing Diablo 3, and a few RPG and RTS from time to time.

Maybe no bottleneck.

LoL is low req game. Diablo 3 I don't know but FPS's are the most demanding I believe.

So... Upgrading is not compulsory. I'd recommend, just trying it. If it doesn't feel horrible, grand!

Nah, you will be fine. Get the ivy bridge stuff when it is released. Another option is to upgrade to a z77 mobo and cheap sandy bridge cpu. Once ivy is out you can just replace the cpu. That is my plan.

Add me to the club! Also I think I got a pretty good overclocker. Not positive this is the max I can get it, I might be able to get it higher if I can unlock more voltage with a flashed bios or something.

Also, I'm really suprised that this card runs so cool! 64c load with max volts through MSI afterburner is pretty dang cool for an air cooler.

yup, thats a good OC smile.gif You should be able to bump the memory up some if you want to get a higher score, but its not that critical. You will definitely be able to game most anything at 60fps smile.gif
