OCP measures the CURRENT to your GPU. When it exceeds a certain value, the card downclocks regardless of the temperature.
Check your bad attitude at the door. Especially since you just proved to everyone how little you know.

I didn't have a bad attitude when I post that. Its just an old habit of mine to say "gg" to everything. Sorry for the misunderstanding. If you chat with me a lot on steam and other instant messaging places, you'll always see me use the term "GG".

I'll try not to sound like a peeved off person this time but doesn't a 448 overclocked or not uses less current than a 480 ?

hi guys. i just got my Gainward GTX 560 ti 448. so i'd like to OC my Vcard.. i wonder what's the best voltage to use w/o frying my card?396

is that a safe setting?

thanks brah.btw why does my video card stops while im playing bf3?
bf3 stops then suddenly i cant hear the card fan when im redirected to my desktop. it goes on again. what could be the root cause of this?

up your voltage to around 1.063v

edit, or rather up the voltage by ~10mv until its stable

Just reapplied Tim to my Eva ftw and let's see what temps look like. Question, removing the shroud makes it look like the Msi cyclone! Would removing the shroud give better temps?

I'll test it if it might thumb.gif

It should, by like probably 3c lol. When I removed my shroud off my 5770, idle temps went from ~34c to ~30c lol

Based on the design of that cooler I don't think it would. The shroud is directing the air to get to the fin arrays rather than just the slab of aluminum over the core. I really hate that cooler BTW, it's really hot and loud, I don't know what they were thinking putting it on a 570.

No. While the 5xx line is 'refined' fermi and provides better performance... To get the performance they increased clockspeed, which actually increased the overall power profile! A 560Ti 448 is a lot closer to a 570 than a standard 560Ti 384. GTX480's requirement was 35A on the 12v rail, GTX570's requirement is 38A. So 560Ti 448 and GTX480 probably have about equivalent power consumption... Thus why the overclock wall is just before 1GHz... Just like on the majority of 480's. It's also probably why EVGA thought it was such a good idea to pair the 560Ti 448 with a GTX480 PCB.
