What does your fan speed profile look like? Do you have it running at high speeds under load?
Edit: Over 80'C in OC scanner furry test that is.

You have no idea what his ambient temperature is. He could be at 10C ambient while you're at a more normal 20C.

80% @ 65C
85% @ 70C
85% is max that i can set it at, that about 4800rpms.. So it sounds pretty nasty when it reaches 70C smile.gif But overall when im gaming it's OK and you don't think about it as it doesnt reach those high temps to go at max. up to 50% it's very quiet though.

The fan is same for me, anything under 50% is nothing, but once you go past that mark it's like a sawmill inside the computer case. smile.gif I prefer to keep it more quiet, that's why I've chosen not to overclock mine that much (running 800 / 2100 @ 0.975V). The gain I get from putting an extra 100MHz or so (plus extra voltage) to the core vs. the sound the fan would make then is a no-brainer to me. I'd rather have the silence.

You are very right sir, but who sits by their computer at 10°C under normal circumstances? kookoo.gif I got the impression that he was posting a normal scenario, not sitting outside in the cold while overclocking.

I guess that was a poor example. A better one would be 20C vs 30C ambient, because that is in the realm of possibility(68-86F range). The point is the same though. thumb.gif

That might be true in a rare situation tongue.gif

I have mine at stock except for when i'm benchmarking just to see what i can squeeze out of the system smile.gif I would have it OC'ed at all times if the fan didnt make noise though, just like in your situation smile.gif
Mine is 765/1900 stock at 1v, haven't tryed downclocking it as it already idles at 30C and quakelive as i mostly play it goes up to 34C.. so the fan isn't audible at all smile.gif Hence no real reason for me to undervolt it yet with a single card smile.gif

I also preffer the silence!

You are right, mine is a normal scenario. 25C room temperature (+/- 2C). Though i might add i have 3x 120mm inlet fans (Noctua NF-P12) and 2x120mm(also Noctua) + 230mm outlet fan (stock antec 1200 fan @ low setting).

That's more normal yes. But I'm currently at ~22°C room temperature, so I figured my temps are comparable. Just waiting for the summer to come to the cold north. smile.gif

I have a 1 x Enermax Magma UCMA12 (love it btw!) and 1 x AcoustiFan AFDP-12025 as intake. 1 x same AcoustiFan and 1 x some Zalman 120mm exhaust in my Antec 180B. Thinking of changing all my case fans to Magmas, they are just awesome with 18dBA & 69.15CFM. smile.gif

I used UCMA12's before switching to YL D12SH's and then to GT AP-15's.

First and foremost, the removable hub on the UCMA12's is a gimmick. Out of the 14 UCMA12's I owned, 8 of them broke when I tried to remove the blades for cleaning. The whole center hub would rip right off. Take this seriously. If you try to remove those fan blades, more than likely you'll ruin your fan.

While they are quiet fans, their static pressure is HORRIBLE. With the exaggerated 'batwing' you would expect it to be good, but Martin's testing showed it was one of the WORST fans you could put on a watercooling radiator.

Also, the 18dBA @ 69 CFM is a flat out lie by Enermax, just like the majority of fan companies flat out lie about their performance figures. And yes, they literally FLAT OUT LIE.

And I don't want you to think I think they're bad fans... They're just the worst thing you could pair with a radiator. I still use two UCMA12's in my system as regular intake fans.

Hehe, same same.. had a summerday yesterday though, nice and warm, top down smile.gif

Hehe, 18dBA och almost 70CFM, i don't really buy that it's pushing so much air at that noise or vice versa.. So either it's louder than spec or not pushing out 70CFM.. Sound like too insane specs imho! I'm sure if it was true they would be more used and bought than they already are. I'm sure they are good though, but not up-to-spec good smile.gif

Hey guys. I have been having fairly constant trouble with my Asus DCII 560ti 448 core. Yesterday the overclocks I set in MSI afterburner weren't saving. Also skyrim crashes after launch. BF3 is acting all kinds of messed up, especially if afterburner is running, but even if it's not running. I have confirmed afterburner to be borked in the same way on my friend's computer with a totally different set of gpus (his two, than my card I sold to him) not the gpu in my sig rig. At least that's what I thought, but the same games are still acting weird today whether or not I use afterburner. Had several "display driver stopped responding" yesterday too. Anybody have any ideas what could be the problem?

Put a known working card in your system and see if the behavior continues. That's the only way to tell if it's your rig or the card.

There's nothing wrong with afterburner. Works fine for all the rest of us.
