Could be the card as I didn't have any issue with AB or these games before changing the gpu. I don't have many spare gpus around, but I'll try something. I didn't have any of these issues before I changed the gpu. The reason I suspected AB was because I went to my friend's house and he got the same things happening when running AB. skyrim won't start if it's running and will crash if you turn it on after starting the game. This is with two very different gpu configs. What driver version are you using?

So browsing this thread I notice people in general seem to have quite a bit lower temps than me. I run my ASUS GTX 560 Ti-448 DCUII at 830core 2100memory @.975v, and my temp whilst browsing here is at 53C. Fan speed currently running at 31% (1590rpm). Now, I'm a complete and utter noob to overclocking, but the values don't differ all that much if I back to factory defaults either. It just seems quite a big difference from the 30ish idle temps I see others having, and it starts up this way after turning on my computer.

Is this something I should worry about or is it quite normal? The ambient temp in here isn't exactly cold as I have large windows that are in the sun pretty much all day long.

you could try increasing the fan speed. I have the same card as you and my temp is 28c right now. fan speed 45%. 850/1700/2000 clocks.

I'm going to divine that you're using more than one monitor. If so then those temperatures are normal because when running two monitors the card doesn't downclock as far as if you ran only one monitor.

Did you update AB to the latest version?
I'm running 296.10, but I haven't had issues with any of the drivers. 296.10 just gives the best 3dmark11 results.

Ah yes, I do use two monitors as I have my TV plugged in aswell via HDMI. Sorry that I didn't mention that, I simply had no idea it would matter. smile.gif
So with keeping that in mind aswell, the temps are pretty normal?

Edit: Disabled the second monitor to see the difference, and I notice my clocks in idle-mode go down very very low, and temp is going down much further aswell. Guess I'll stick to simply using the other monitor when it's actually needed rather than always having it on but empty. smile.gif

the exact driver version and AB version I am using. It was fine before the gpu change. gonna do some more hunting and see if I can fix this.

I bought myself one of the zotac 560ti cards with 448 cores.
And currently i have mine running at 800mhz gpu and 1900 memory.
I undervolted the card a bit at these settings and its now running at 938volts instead of 100 which gives me lower tempratures.
The highest i could clock it in tests was about 900mhz but with the higher voltages the temprature kept raising till 85+

Can anyone tell me what the safe temps are for this card?

97C is the max temp specified by Nvidia, but I wouldn't want to go above 85C personally.
