This runs into my rafters/crawl space with a fan ziptied to the end of it which is running on a jump started old PSU. I call it the ghetto chiller biggrin.gif currently it's only -1C outside yet my idle temps are 23C (22 now) on the zotac and 27C on my i5.

I was betting someone would bring her up, I'm curious as to who she is. She certainly has a wonderful bottom end smile.gif

I'm guessing SpeedFan is the program I need to change the fan RPMs for the fans connected to the mobo?
And the additional case fans are either per-determined or you have to buy one with a controller?

Any opinions on air flow? My thought is that since I'm dealing with dust, and sense the two rears are exhaust, front is intake, bottom and top are intake & exhaust respectively. I should run my four side fans(just bought two more) as exhaust to pull air out?

I would go with exhaust on those 2 fans. I noticed putting my side panel back on as an exhaust fan the temps dropped slightly vs intake.

SpeedFan will work if they're 4-pin fans (I believe) which very few fans are.

One way to reduce speed is use a fan splitter (I believe, again) or use a voltage regulator cable (9v, 7v, 5v etc) and I believe there's a few other ways as well.

I use this:

For my 3 fans, which run at 33% according to HWMonitor.

Ah I see, I went into the bios and was able to speed up a few fans. I ordered two new fans for the case to hopefully that will help some. I just overclocked it up to 950/1900/2200 @ 1.075V and it went up to 66C with no artifacts in OC Scanner.

Going to try BF3 now.

Ran 3dMark11 again and got 6595 : http://3dmark.com/3dm11/2473203

Update: Alright so I played BF3 with these settings and the highest the GPU got was 65C, no artifacts, everything looks stable, I'm very happy with the buy biggrin.gif

EDIT: Another thing to is you might need to bump up the memory voltage if you go any higher. From past reviews people were not able to go much higher than where your at now. Maybe lowering it a hair and take the core/shader higher. Nice score btw!!!

Well I don't think I can get this stable at anything higher without a custom bios for the card, as the voltage is locked to a max of 1.100V and there are no memory voltage adjustments available. Still I'm quite content with the card for the CA$270 I paid for it.

On another note, does anyone know how to volt mod a non-reference 560ti 448 core? I have the Gigabyte model -- neither Afterburner nor Precision can change the voltage, and neither NiBiToR nor Fermi BIOS Editor recognize the BIOS format of my card. I'm running 825/4400 @ 52c max load... the card is begging for higher clocks.

same result here with both Nibitor and Fermi bios editor, I sent a copy of my bios to the Nibitor guys. Hopefully in a few months we'll get some support for bios editing on these cards. Anyone have any other ideas for modding the bios?

Edit: oops sorry for the double post, forgot I had just posted here tongue.gif I'd merge the posts but I don't have the option to delete this post.
