My best OC to date is 950/1900/4200 @ +100mV on the core. I have another +50mV to add on the core and +50Mv on both the AUX/MEM so i should be able to push it a little further. Temps are Amazing! at 950 core and +100mV the GPU still doesn't go above 62c with %50 fan speed, so cooling will not be a problem.

Has anyone MSI card owners played around with the MEM/AUX voltages? Would adding more Voltage to the AUX give me better/stable overclocking results? Or what is the danger if any of adding too much voltage and pushing it too far.. The last thing i want to do is fry/wreck this card.
Thanks

when you raise voltage with afterburner does other monitor programs say its been increased? i used HWinfo and GPUZ and they both say its maxed at 1.0v but afterburner says its 1.05v

What 448core are you getting

I'm getting the Classified Edition. I like it a lot.

GPU-Z shows no change for me, i don't use HWinfo i use CPUID Hardware monitor and that shows the voltage change along with MSI AB

What do you mean you froze @ 950c? And a lemon?

Care to explain?

I'm curious what your stock voltage was at? I have the Gigabyte version as well and I get the exact same numbers except I've got my core/shader to 950/1900. Could it be that my stock voltage was 975?

I've been lurking this thread since I got the card and I'm surprised there aren't a couple more of us Gigabyte guys yet. This card has continually surprised me coming from an old (twice oven bake fixed) 8800 GTX. That thing could heat a large room but my 560 Ti 448 sits comfortably at 28c idle all day.

Also I'm thinking about making the push for 1000 core and from what I've read as long as my temps are low and my voltage isn't maxed out yet I should be good to go?

1.10v+ isn't what I (personally) would consider safe for 24/7 runs, but maybe for a suicide. Others will tell you that 1.10v is safe if you keep your temps low... depends on who you are and how long you plan on keeping the card I guess.

My stock voltage was the same as yours.... it's probable that my chip just isn't as good as your's. smile.gif

Yeah, the card's cooling was so well thought out... those fans can move serious air when they're cranked up all the way.

Out of curiosity, what are your temps under heavy gaming? Those gigabyte cards have 3 fans right?

I agree, for 24/7 I would like to keep my voltage down.
So I'm letting it sit at 1.038V all day at 925Mhz, gaming temps of 51C.

And if 1.025V was your stock voltage (and you only bumped it up to 1.05V) then that's no lemon.
For mine to go to 950 I have to have at least 1.075 on the voltage.
