The evga classified has 6 phase as well

I know that, great card. Just that with the 570 TFIII it's going to over clock very nicely and get better performance albeit at a higher price. For the question posed which will be better will be up to the purchaser if the difference in performance out weighs the extra cost.

I personally feel the EVGA Classified 560Ti 448 is the better price / performance bang for your buck card even over an AMD 6950 as it's proven to beat it in all benches whether game or synthetic. smile.gif

Huge thanks guys. Ordered my Classy 448 this morning to replace my 512mb 250gts (don't ask how it ran BF3 @ 1080p tongue.gif). Would have considered the MSI 570 just budget was aching as it is.

I come from the same place you were Harry, only I had a PNY 1GB, I figured it was time to replace the card when the fan began to screech. I couldn't be happier with this decision, Running a core of 950, Shader of 1900, and a Memory clock of 2100 right now on 1.088 Volts with room to overclock, it absolutely shreds any game out there at the moment, now about my processor... that's a different story tongue.gif

I just setup my new desktop build. My graphics card's temps seem very high. At idle, it is around 42-45 degrees Celsius. I have a sound card under it but there is like an inch of space. Is the sound card causing the problem?

Do you have another PCI slot you can put the sound card in? Also how are your fans set up in your case? Like where are they and are they intake or exhaust.

Hey, maybe you guys can help me! I've recently decided to buy a new GPU, and these 560 448 cores look quite nice.

I'm upgrading from an EVGA GTX 275, and I'm trying to decide which manufacturer to pick for this card. I don't have BF3 yet, so I'd like to buy a card which comes with BF3 free. That winnows it down to the Zotac and the Gigabyte cards on Newegg. For a moderate overclock, and ease of installation with the huge cooler on the gigabyte, which would you guys recommend?

I'd give it a bit of time, play some games and have a custom fan profile set up to keep it under 80 Celcius, I've noticed that with use my temps have dropped, probably the cooling compound setting in, I went from 45-48 Idle to 32 Idle over a few weeks, so give it a little time, watch the max temps and it should go down relatively fast depending on how much you use it.

As the owner of a Zotac, I would suggest you go with the gigabyte as it provides much better cooling than the Zotac does. I think both cards are the same as far as the PWM goes, but from what I've seen from the zotac customer support, I would certainly say gigabyte has the edge. Not to say my card is a lemon or anything, I'm running 900core with no mem OC at 1.075v, however temps can creep up to the mid 80's without proper ambient temps. I couldn't resist the deal I got for the zotac though, as it came with 3 free games (Batman:AA, Mafia2 and just cause 2) when I bought it just after x-mas off of NCIX. They actually threw in two copies of Batman so I gave one to a buddy biggrin.gif

Thanks. I'll wait a few weeks and see how it turns out. I won't do any overclocking right now. I was playing Bad Company 2 for about 15-30 mins and the highest temp recorded was 78 degrees Celsius.
