I overclocked my card pretty heavy the first day I got it to test it out, but now I'm running it at 880/2150 at it's default 1.025 voltage. It plays games great at this setting and I don't plan on running any more benchmarks.
Dude those cards look awesome redface.gif
Did you run out of zip ties?

yeah. zipties and velcro. ran out of both since this is the 5th time this year I've rebuilt him/added on. The power connectors for the cards are almost unavoidable given where they placed the input for them. It could be tidied up...dammit now I have another project for the weekend :-(

BF3 extended sessions HATED my OC. this happened with my 460's as well. Seems you can have a "stable" OC and play everything and it's expansion or bench all day just fine, but bf3 locks up. Probably more something on their end since I've read page after page of similar stuff happening since bf2.

easy enough fix though. run at stock everything and game never hiccups. Besides the difference between 80 fps on ultra and 100 fps on ultra is marginal to the eye.

Well BF3 works aside the stupid bf3.exe crashes everyone has been getting but i still honestly think we have new cards and we need new drivers to cooperate. We can just hope and wait.

I only get bf3.exe crashes when I try joining a server. It's still frustrating though. If I crash mid-game It's always because my overclock it too high or not enough vtt.

try el captains advice and back off of just the memory portion of the OC. His articles link which can be found here on ocn is very interesting to say the least.

Well finally registered, no more lurking. Wanted to give my experience with this card so far.
I recieved the MSI Twin Frozr III 448 today. Had a chance to play around with it and some settings in afterburner. So far leaving memory @ default I was able to run unigine for awhile with 900core @ 1.024v without any artifacts. Going to start upping memory in abit. Been awhile since ive stress tested a card. IS kombuster & unigine enough?

Looks like you've got a golden card and can expect a lot from it. As far as kombuster and heaven goes as stress tests, they're great, but you might think you're stable by testing with those, then play BF3 and have your system cras. The more you test with the better smile.gif

Yep, it's been a good case but has a lot of flaws. I've had it for a couple of years now.

Played BF3 all night on those clocks and no artifacts...so I decided to start upping memory. By the time I got memory to the 2100 clock I was shooting for I had to up the voltage to 1.043 before it wouldnt artifact in unigine. Now its rock solid @ 900/2100. Stupid question but should I have tried upping seperate mem volt instead of core volt when going from mem 1950 to 2100? (Sorry, no experience with a card with seperate volt controls) Also any idea what safe range to up mem volt if I decide to go that route?

I personally wouldn't increase voltage to overclock memory. It's my opinion that Vram is temperamental and can be damaged easily, I destroyed an nVidia card once by overclocking it's memory too hard and running it 24/7 like that.

2200mhz memory should be a safe memory overclock without increasing vtt, people usually cap out somewhere between 2270/2300 at default voltage
