I am using nvidia surround and think that has something to do with my low score. Also how in the world are you guys changing your drivers. If I delete the main driver my screen goes black before it finishes and I am SOL. I have to boot from the windows cd and use system restore otherwise I can't even boot into windows. I have tried all sorts of guides and nothing. For you guys here doing it, I need a step by step dummy guide cause I am lost.

Maby it is a issue with surround have you tried only using one monitor and then uninstalling the drivers not sure if that would help but worth a shot

Ok so I know I know I am not a member but I am looking at upgrading my GPU soon. I am now running an EVGA GeForce GTX550ti Sc edition that i have overclocked more to 1015 Mhz. It will run Battlefield 3 at 1680 x 1050 resolution on average of 30-40 fps on high settings. It does take a dip down to 20 every now and then especially when in a tank and driving through smoke which we all know is more to render. I have been looking at upgrading for a little while and was before looking at buying a GTX 570. I wanted a little more than a basic GTX 560ti DS edition as it has 384 cores on a GF116 chassis. I know this card is basically a GTX 570 with less cores. I am into overclocking and pretty much just playing BF3 and some MW3 (which is easier to run) I have less money now to work with so buying a 570 is a out of my range,. I know I have (waiting for Kepler) in my sig and I know this is a limited run for Nvidia. Basically case in point, I am looking at selling my 550ti which is in mint shape with packaging and all for about $100 and will be able to throw a little more on top for new card. Later on I would want to SLI this card but do not have the money for it.
My question is this:

Should I buy a 560ti DS and buy a 2nd one in about 8-10 months and have both slightly overclocked?
OR
do I just get one of these and overclock it more (benchmarks I have seen 900-920 Mhz) which is around GTX 580 performance.

This card worth $280 ish?

Thing is I cannot even uninstall it. In control panel I cannot delete the physx and physx controller. If I delete the graphics driver I get a black screen. I have to assume something is corrupted and maybe a complete OS install would fix it. While I can enjoy my games with no issues, I would like to have the option to try different drivers and see if there is some performance difference.

Being so close to Kepler, it's hard to say. While these cards perform exceptionally well, Kepler may be the choice. I am not one to wait so I went with them. If you can honestly wait for the newer cards then I would at least see what they offer. It's a hard choice but see if you can find any benchmarks if you had 2 of your current cards against the 448 card.

I have looked at a few benchmarks with running two 550ti's overclocked to 975Mhz and they scaled most of the time between the 560ti and 570. There were a couple of gaming benches that put it even with the 560ti or maybe a little under. When Kepler comes out, a 570 might drop to $300 since nowadays one can buy a GTX 460 for under $150. I hate waiting too but given that Keplers release is around 2 months away which isnt a lot of time to wait. Only thing is, I know the 448 will not be found after the new release frown.gif

Was using the compare feature in Mark11.. I made an account and such.

I saw you had a different overclock than stock so I gave it a shot.. now I'm getting good numbers! =D

I am happy now! Now I just got to save for water blocks...
