Greetings from Columbus Ohio

I have been on this site pretty religiously for the past month or so. First, let me begin by telling you all a little bit about myself.

I am 29 years old. I am in the US Army as a Helicopter Mechanic. I have a 7 year old son. I just got back from a deployment in Iraq and set to deploy again in September of 2012 to Afghanistan. Currently single so that is probably the reason that I have decided to take on building a new rig. This is the first Rig I have built in 6 years. I was really nervous on building a rig with decent and relevant components since I have not been in the scene for such a long time. I think I have managed to build something respectable that runs well for what I need. I have included a few pictures and because I know that no one reads when pics are involved I will say that I don't have my cable management worked out right now. I will update pics at a later time. I do have some Paracord that I am going to use to sleeve all of my wires and some other ideas. Well I look forward to being on the site.

Thank you all for the help and I promise I wont be too mad at you all for heckling at my rig in its current condition!! ( as long as it is not personal, I do own lots of guns smile.gif

AGAIN: Cable management has not even been attempted on this thing yet. I kind of threw it together while I was waiting on more parts and when I get a free weekend it will be coming back apart and cable management will be done. There will be a lot of changes done that will make this setup stable before my deployment to Afghanistan in September.

Welcome to OCN.
Looks like a very nice rig? What is the config of it?

Nice stuff! You need fill out your system profile so we can see all the components you used.

btw Columbus' MicroCenter is pretty nice, much nicer than Cincy's, and about the same as the one here in Cleveland.

Everything is all stock clocks as of right now. all my fans are stock fans with no push pull method decided as of yet. I am really new to the modding and optimizing scene. I guess that I can say that I have bought pre-built sports cars in the past but this is the first time I have ever built my own sports car.

I still dont understand all of the Overclocking stuff. I mean I get the basics but am still learning a lot. I like to do a lot of research and thus I have been reading a LOT. I love the ASUS UEFI Bios as it seems to make overclocking really easy. I was pretty ashamed of the way that my cabling looked even if it was only temporary so I straightened them up slightly.
