Patriot Viper II Sector 7 12GB Kit

I recently bought one of these sets off of ebay. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220498 The package I got has three sticks of ram with a green PCB and the same heat spreaders as the description on newegg. However, the item is supposed to come with black PCB and green will totally destroy the look I am going for. This is a problem.

So which is more likely?

1. Patriot changed the PCB without notification or changes of it product description.
2. The guy I bought these from changed out the ram under the heat sinks.

I do not have a computer to test the sticks yet.

Bought it of ebay? Some previous owner swapped the sticks, keeping the sinks. Sorry. I would see about getting your money back.

It's possible that Patriot simply changed their PCBs to green without making any other changes.

They never listed black as the DIMM color so there's really not much you can do if they changed it internally.

I checked with Patriot, the PCB color was changed.
