[DH]AMD Radeon 7000: New Rumors - 79x0 at $399/$499 - Page 12

I've learned to not trust a single rumor from this site, so I'll just say this: take it with a grain of salt, folks, it's a rumor. No need to start flaming AMD until we have substantial and credible benchmarks.

From Always. 6990 is faster than Gtx 590. I have 6990 and some benchmarks of games, if someone wants to compare, here I am. Only Lost planet 2 and Hawk 2 the Gtx590 is little faster (and another TWIMTBP's games like Batman Arkham city or Crysis 2...), rest of games 6990 is significally faster (Metro 2033, Crysis and Crysis Warhead, BF3, Bc2, Just cause 2, ARMA 2, AVP, Far cry 2 and another "neutral" games..).

I have to many benchmarks of games here, and i look benchmarks to Gtx590 to compare (in this forum, another forums, Youtube, etc..). And I can say this wink.gif.

Bye!.

P.D Sorry my english, me spanish (me use google traductor XD)

That's not really how pricing works. And considering the 7850=6950 and 7870=6970, I'd say those prices aren't all that expensive. rolleyes.gif

I really hope that ATI's 79xx does not disappoint. If the 7950 isn't faster than the GTX 580 and the 7970 isn't that great AMD is screwed.

grifers is correct. Ever since both cards launched, the 6990 has always been the clear winner. However, this is only due to the 590 being downclocked severely.

So I guess I'm gonna be ok for awhile with my Crossfire 6970s, and that the next gen isn't going to beat the 6970s by a considerable margin.

And technically the Radeon 6970 is more powerful than a GTX 570. As Getthemoney pointed out.

And 6990 vs 590 are really close, some might say dead even, others might say one or the other by a small margin. The price is also really close to each other, in which case makes me favor Nvidia over ATI if the price/performance ratio is nearly identical. Nvidia has better drivers than ATI. Some of the benchmarks I've seen put 6990 vs 590 at a dead heat, some games one or the other might be a little bit better in.

Crossfire 6970s beat a 6990 in every single benchmark I've seen, especially if the 6970s are overclocked, mine are OC'd a little.

I think the best donanimhaber thing was when it was saying that bulldozer is 50% faster than the 990x. I think that shows just should how creditable a source it is. WCCF is just as bad I can't stand that site.
That is what I was talking about. It wasn't when they said BD sucked it was at first when they said it rocked.

biggrin.gif exactly stop being so sensitive about the products you bought. If you bought them and are happy with them why get in an uproar.

Since launch. they trade blows in some games but as an earlier post said because of the power needed to run the 590 full throttle they had to turn some of the monstrous speed down.

Lol, that's exactly what everyone was saying about the "totally untrue and unsubstantiated" rumors from DH about BD right up until it came out....................and then everybody found out all the rumors had been completely true! Not saying all rumors should be blindly accepted but they shouldn't be blindly dismissed either...
