Cause you bought nvidia. No problems here apart for the random slowdown but it's cured by restarting the game, otherwise smooth as silk tongue.gif

Before the 7970's, 580's were owning this game, and offers physx...
Must be something off with his setup...

Try ALT+ENTER to alternate between windowed and fullscreen to see if it fixes the issue...

Yes I realise that it's just I think he isn't trying hard enough to look up why his computer is under performing or the problems with the game itself. I love this game but I've lost count of how many different problems I've experienced but at the same time I've managed to solve a lot of those problems with a bit of searching online.

the stuttering is normal. even with the supposed fix, i don't think the game runs perfectly. though it wouldn't hurt to run your cpu up to 4.0ghz and add about 100mhz core to your 580. i am not sure what kind of cpu cooler you are using, but hitting 4.0ghz on your be should be cake. adding 100mhz core to your 580 is as easy as downloading msi afterburner 2.2.0 beta 9 and making a fan profile. what kind of fps are you getting from the in-game benchmark?

edit: i ran the in-game benchmark a couple times to see what settings will get you better fps. i originally was running the game completely maxed out with physx on normal (nvidia 32x aa). fps were min: 23, max: 59, avg: 43. i found this to be playable, but not exactly ideal.

i lowered my settings to physx off and only 8x aa (amd comparable settings). fps were min: 29, max: 68, avg: 53. to me, this is way better while the game still looks really good.

i might turn physx back on to normal, but the jury is still out on that one.

Is there any way I can get the patch or DLC through Steam without having to sign up for GFWL? I am able to play the game fine without by hitting the GFW window's red X, but don't want to create an account just to access all of the content.
