BF3 stutter for a frame every second - Page 6

I may have found a fix. It doesn't get rid of it totally, but it happens rarely now. I think my issue was caused by an ATI crossfire 'heartbeat' called Micro Stuttering.

Enabling both VSYNC and TRIPLE BUFFERING seems to have helped quite a bit, but it still doesn't totally fix the issue for.

setting affinity on cpu still working but now getting the severe rubber banding.

one step forward and two steps with this.

Think this is the last time I give my hard earned cash to a developer.

My suggestion is to remove the settings that enabled you to see the CPU/GPU graph and see if it (after focusing on playing) is the problem in and of itself. redface.gif

I'll take that advice with a large pinch of salt !!

Actually, I've had MSI Afterburner cause this same problem in the past.

It has to do with the hardware polling period. It would stutter everytime Afterburner would request information from the video card. Set it to 1000ms, it would stutter every second. Set it to 3000ms, it would stutter every 3 seconds.

Disable that overlay and try it.

Don't have MSI afterburner currently installed for exactly this reason and don't need the overlay running to tell me I'm in a significant group of people experiencing performance issues since the last patch royally screwed a lot of us

Why do I have the sneaking suspicion that you're patronizing me for trying to help you? rolleyes.gif

I'm just talking from experiences I've had... so sorry they're not helping your situation. You want to complain, go knock on EA's door.

not at all...I can only assume my comments about the overlay has lead you to assume that.

My frustration is with EA/Dice and I have banged on every door available to me as a dissappointed consumer but it seems no one is home.
