Help Me Get 4.0Ghz Phenom II X4 B55

Thread Starter
Hello community!

I tried to put my 4.0GHz processor, the computer starts but throws BSOD when loading windows.

Will have a parameter list for a place to 4.0GHz? I am currently at 3.8GHz with 1.44 vcore and HT 2200Mhz, I have not moved other voltages.

Sorry for the bad english xD!

What are your current RAM settings in the BIOS? Is it on auto?

Whats your temps at load at 3.8Ghz? If they are below 55C try upping your vcore one step at a time till stable. Also up your NB to 2500-3000Mhz and up the CPU/NB voltage to 1.3/1.35v

Put your HT back to 2000Mhz upping it won't increase performance and could reduce your CPU OC potential.

My 555 did 4.0Ghz at 1.375v with 2 cores. So you will need quite a bit more voltage I would imagine to push 4 cores at that speed. As long as you can keep the temps down keep pushing it thumb.gif

Lower the multi to 17x, raise the FSB to 240 and manually set the RAM to 667 Mhz. After you achieve a stable OC, slowly raise the RAM frequency until you reach your sweet spot (you might need to loosen up the timings a bit). Raise the vcore to about 1.47-1.5v.

Yep try this or just go 20 on the multi stick with 200bus. I would say raise to 1.5v and check temps in prime95. If below 55 and stable its all good. AMD thermal limit is 62C most ppl on this site recommend 55C for stablility.

Mixing and matching ensures in a higher and more stable OC, not raising JUST the multi and leaving the FSB on stock.
