CPU-Z voltage higher than Bios

Hey, in bios my cpu voltage is set as 1.4875v, but in cpu-z it shows 1.560v.

how come?

It's never accurate, although that is a lot more inaccurate than it should be. Unless for some reason it's reading the Max CPU Voltage Setting.

Put it under 100% load and see what occurs in CPU-Z. It should drop to 1.48 ish... (Doh! you have)

Btw: Disable Spread Spectrum, you don't want that when overclocking.

ah ok. i'll disable spread spectrum. This is whilst under 100% load btw, hence the high temp.

Well there's your answer right there. Prolly some type of llc's on. Also what you set in bios isn't what vcore is at the time while in bios. There should be another area or beside it where you can see what the actual vcore is at the time,
