So I'm gonna get a 2500k.. - Page 2

The $150 deal was on black Friday only, it's back to like $170-180. The deals for the processor/mobo are in store only. They've been switching between offering the mobo discount on the 2500K and the 2600K, thats how I got my rig.

go to the website and add any one of each to your cart and it will deduct it for you. remember most products on the MC website are instore pickup only.

The processor is now 179.99 but it will still deduct 60 from any compat board.

Alright, closest micro center is an hour away so I think that this is the best way to go I wound up with 275 so I think this is a great deal.

Based from the Ivy Bridge ES vs 2500K benchmarks, I would get the 2500K now rather than wait for only 5% performance increase. Power efficiency should also be considered but who else is not having issue with that?

Got my rig that way too, paid 250 for CPU+Board, killer deal.

ivy bridge will be an incremental improvement, nothing special. preliminary tests are showing a 10% improvement in gaming performance...so it's nothing to go crazy about. i say but at 2500k now if you have the money, no point in waiting.
