Upgrade from evga gtx 550ti 2gb, best bang for my buck?

Okay so I posted in here about a week or two ago about the card I just picked up from best buy. I was told to run sli but I would prefer to go ahead and buy a better card and sli that card down the road smile.gif

Long story short it had been a while since I picked up a new gpu and decided to walk into best buy and make my purchase within 10 min with no research.doh.gif

So I ended up with a EVGA "superclocked" gtx 550ti 2gb...

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/EVGA+-+GeForce+GTX+550+Ti+2GB+GDDR5+PCI+Express+2.0+Graphics+Card/3628074.p?id=1218421871605&skuId=3628074&st=gtx%20550&cp=1&lp=2

So it hasn't preformed as well as I thought it would. I am playing games like skyrim, bf3, assassins creed revelations, soon to be old republic (although this card worked out very nicely on the beta).

I am really trying to be able to rock games at max settings with very smooth frame rates. But hey, who isn't tongue.gif

Anyways, system specs are as follows,

mobo - msi p55m -gd45
cpu - intel i5 750 2.66ghz - OC to 3.2 (Will be much higher once I get better cooling)
ram - 4gb ddr3 1600
^^^soon to be updated to 16gb
hdd - 1tb but crappy speeds (wd "eco friendly" drive with supposed speed changes based on need)
^^soon to be updated to a ssd
psu - Corsair tx750w

Anyways, all of that is just backdrop. I am going to return this card on friday and have plans to pay a little extra for a better card. Again just looking for something that runs games awesome but isn't completely outrageous.

I am not sure if I will be able to get cash back or store credit so there is a possibility that I will have to purchase the new card from best buy as well.

Here are a few cards I have been eyeballing. Tell me what you think...

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/EVGA+-+025-P3-1579-AR+GeForce+GTX+570+Graphic+Card+-+732+MHz+Core+-+2.56+GB+GDDR5+SDRAM+-+PCI+Express+2.0+x16/4239753.p?id=1218463753095&skuId=4239753

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/EVGA+-+012-P3-1572-TR+GeForce+570+Graphic+Card+-+797+MHz+Core+-+1.28+GB+GDDR5+SDRAM+-+PCI+Express+2.0+x16/4239735.p?id=1218463838736&skuId=4239735

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/EVGA+-+012-P3-1571-KR+GeForce+GTX+570+Graphic+Card+-+732+MHz+Core+-+1.28+GB+GDDR5+SDRAM+-+PCI+Express+2.0+x16/3932296.p?id=1218443169963&skuId=3932296

The last one is the cheapest, so maybe any suggestions or comments on the difference I would notice with that one compared to the others?

560 ti's are generally the best "bang for your buck" card. You could say the same about the 6950, though.

If you are willing to spend $400 like on that GTX 570, I suggest buying a 6970 that's cheaper

Well what differences will I notice by increasing the bit rate but lowering the vram?

I know my current card is only 192 bit and most of the 560s are 256 and up, but again mine is 2gb of vram and most of the 560s are 1gb.

What performance factors would that affect?

Also, the newegg link is awesome but like I said I might be stuck with the selection at best buy...

I am running a Corsair tx750w psu. The less the better in price but I am thinking about adding on another $150 or so, so $350 total. I think I decided that $400 570 I posted is a litle too much. I mean I will be running 2 cards in sli once the card starts to show its age so no need to get the very best out there.

I just got a offer for the card below for $320 on here as well.

Damn that card is massive. I have the room slot wise, but I am not sure about length wise. I am in a micro atx case. I have about another 3-4 inches of space in between my drive bay and the back of my gtx 550 atm. Hopefully it will fit.

But I watched the video and looks like they know what they are doing and have some decent tech in the card.
