Eh I just got it, applied a bunch of mods and the 4GB patch, running Catalyst 11.11C Performance drivers and I have had zero issues. I've played about 10 hours so far, but not one crash or hiccup. The game runs great on my crossfire setup.

Playing at 2560 * 1600, which is beautiful I might add, was unplayable (crashfest) until I turned off all AA, and anisotropic filtering. Then the picture turned to jaggies. Bleh. Need patch.

Just finally managed to fix the game after the patch last week and then here comes this patch, overriding the setting I put to not update and it breaks my game again. I'm back to not even being able to load the game.

I haven't had any problems myself... except when trying to get it to run in 5760 x 1080. The fan-made patch to fix the zoomed-in HUD makes my game crash much too often, but it looks so awesome! Come on, Besthesda! What happened? Oblivion runs fine in eyefinity, why no love for Skyrim?

Though I am glad that they're fixing the magic resistances bug that they introduced with the last patch. Now I actually want to play the game again. thumb.gif

Still, a fix is better than no fix.

As mentioned, HD texture mods can easily make it go over 2GB. I also had the Esbern mission bug... searched for it online and downloaded his sound files and it fixed it. I had to use the player.teachword console command for one part because I would walk up to the wall and it would make all the noises but it would never actually teach me the shout (the second ice one... I think it was flesh).

About time.

Mine loads 4 threads (of eight on my 920) around 60-70%. It's not 100%, but it loads them quite a bit better than many other games.

The most annoying thing to me is when I go into a cave or something, the screen glitches all over like it's microstuttering. The framerate is still right at 60, but it drives me insane. Is this the Y-axis thing mentioned in the OP?

After i installed all the high-res texture mods + a few others, my game with the 4GB patch, seems to be at 3.2gb usage 90% of the time. Which im sure will only go even higher when i finish updating all of the weapon/armor textures to high-res.

Do you calculate just system ram, or vram as well? If you go off both my install has used over 2.75gb of ram, and BF3 has used over 3.25GB.

Better Performance for C2D... this must be a dream, that developers still take into account C2D users. i thought they only cared for i3-i5-i7 users
