It has encouraged me to try running skyrim on my HTPC. Should be doable with sensible settings.

I don't get posts like these. I mean.. congrats? But if you're implying that there aren't tons of game-breaking bugs in Skyrim, well... that's obviously just not true. Personally, I got Esbern's bug, constant CTD's with only a few mods installed (and only one small texture mod), and the Y-axis micro-stuttering thing. Those are the worst, but by no means the only bugs. Glitches in an Elder Scrolls launch are par for the course, and if you haven't hit any yet, give it time. You will.

Just looking at it now, mmmm nice, good now they have touched it up a bit, just a complete rebuild and DX11 to go!! tongue.gif

There's alot of moving parts to a game like Skyrim and a large variety of system configurations that it gets installed on, it's bound to have a fair amount of bugs and glitches at launch. I'm happy to see that the developers are keeping an open dialog with the community in rolling out these updates. Some large developers have failed to do that recently.

I just have messed up dragons flying backwards or erratically and not dying after their health is gone. The frames seem to skip when moving my mouse left to right, I don't know if that was the Y axis thing in the patch, but I hope it is. I was running the mod for 4gb before they patched it to 1.2. I was running the ultrawide mod plus the 4gb mod and having no issues until they patched it to 1.2.

Skyrim certainly does when you have texture mods and the like.
Sins of a Solar Empire used to get to 2.5GB for me on an eight player game.
Fallout 3, Oblivion, etc. It's required when you mod the game.

Still, a fix is better than no fix.

Neither did I, but as I put more and more texture mods in the more and more I'd get CTDs until I put the 4GB patch on.

Which I find weird, my C2D handled it perfectly fine. And that's at stock.
