Is it viable for tessellation to be implemented in Skyrim?

I mean, high resolution texture mods are fine and dandy, but surely I am not the only one who is utterly tired of seeing flat surfaces everywhere I go? You know, all those stone walls that are supposed to be bumpy and kind of look bumpy from afar, but once you get close enough ( actually not that close even ) they're just flat, highly compressed textures? Now obviously this issue doesn't exist in the eyes Bethesda Softworks, but from a third party modification standpoint, would it be possible to add tessellation?

Especially with Skyrim I've been surprised by how uneven the graphics are, first you're stunned by all those mountains and literally three seconds later you're greeted by surfaces straight out of that old Windows maze screensaver.

yep, many games today are getting worse and worse textures, just like codmw3, even farcry1 had better textures

Good God, that looks awful. It's not even that the textures are low-res, there's just no continuity between any of the textured faces.

AFAIK Skyrim is DX10 and DX11 is required for tessellation as well as the coding is needed in the actual engine itself to harness tessellation as well as the models need to be built for tessellation. Its been a while someone correct me if I'm wrong.

*EDIT* After reading the OP Post again realized what your looking for inst tessellation but a shader type and I cant for the life of me remember what its called...Give me a second..

Trying to figure it out myself. This game was hyped to use DX11 from the get-go and I'm seeing otherwise lately...
