128GB SSD - OCZ Octane or Crucial M4?

Hi,

Right, I'm looking to get a new 128GB SSD. Been thinking of getting a Crucual M4 for about a month now, but put it off hoping the price would drop closer to Chistmas what with all the sales going on. Unfortunately the price has gone up, probably due all the problems with the Sandforce based drives with people looking for a more reliable option. So before the price rises any further, I may as well get one as soon as possible.

But I've been looking at the prices of various other drives today just to see if theres any sales on those, and at the moment Aria.co.uk has the new OCZ Octane drives at the same price as an M4, which is £149.99. I've only read a few reviews on this drive, but what I have read seems positive and the performance looks good as well. I ignored them when they first released because they seemed overpriced, but now it's the same price as the M4 it's such a clear cut decision. I've also found a Vertex 3 for the same price, but I really don't want to run the risk of having problems even if some people claim the Sandforce issues have been fixed.

So my question is, which to get, Octane or M4? I know a lot of people here like to recommend the M4, and it's probably my first choice as well, but if the Octane is actually reliable is there anything that puts it on top making it better buy over the M4?

Thanks for the help,

M4, the octane isn't as fast. Same price and the M4 has been around longer to show its reliability.
