My SSD is not showing up!

Thread Starter
After trying to do a Secure Erase with Parted Magic on my Vertex 2 and waiting about 4 hours without a conformation, I decided to just quit and forget about it. Now that I went back to Windows, I don't see my SSD in the Computer folder anymore. But in Parted Magic and my BIOS I do. Is there any way I can get my SSD to recognized again?

First thing I have to ask when I see a vertex 2 issue is: Does the drive have the latest firmware?
Also, how long have you had the mobo? If it's brand new, try the latest bios and see if that fixes it.

Everything is updated to the newest firmware/bios. My board is about 7 months old (got it in May).

Something completely unrelated is that the site needs a mobile version. tongue.gif

Did you try opening Disk Management and reformatting from there?
